*Lake Nippising, ON June 3, 1967, 10:00 PM
Shortly after 10:00 PM, a Lake Nipissing buoy tender observed green and white lights between two small islands. Thinking another boatman might be in trouble, the buoy tender headed toward the lights. He was about 100
feet away when the lights rose up from the water "with a whoosh" and sped off into the night.

What could be better than to be visiting Canada, a beautiful lake, night air, and moonlit water? What a peaceful, relaxing idea that is. Unfortunately for two people, all
of these nice things turned into a frightening experience, and changed their lives forever. From the notes of researcher Dr. Peter Millman comes this true story. At the time of this story, Millman was working for the National
Research Council of Canada. He received the facts of the case from the Department of National Defense. The two people, who gave their report to Canadian officials, have asked to remain anonymous, for fear of ridicule. It
was on June 18, 1967 that their case begins. Taking a nice, peaceful boat right down a northern Ontario Lake, Mr. and Mrs. G. were visiting friends, and began their ride back to their cabin. As they are enjoying the moonlit
night, they were suddenly shocked to see a brilliant object of unknown object. This object was simply hovering about 50 feet above tree level, and approximately one-quarter of a mile away from them. Slowing their boat down,
they make a turn to get a full view of this strange object. As they sit in wonder, suddenly the object begins to pick up speed, racing straight toward them! Regaining his composure, Mr. G revs up his 75 horsepower motor, and
gives it all it's got, heading to the lake's shore.
The distance between themselves and the object allows them just enough time to arrive on the bank. They quickly exit the boat. Looking back up into the sky, they see the
object has taken back its original position. After a few minutes of time, Mr. and Mrs. G decide to try a return trip back down the river to their neighbors' house. Shortly after launching into the water, the object again makes
a move to descend upon the two terrified witnesses. Again outracing the craft to the shore, the two ditch the boat, and run to another house, loudly and excitedly rousing their acquaintances. Their friends would later state
that Mr. and Mrs. G were honestly and profoundly frightened to death by what they had seen.
Now there were several more witnesses to this unusual, brilliant object, just hovering above the trees that surrounded the quiet waters of the lake. They watch the object
for another 10-15 minutes until finally it races into the night to the west-northwest. Knowing that they had seen something quiet extraordinary, they make a full report of the incident. Canada’s National Defense team
meticulously detailed this unusual occurrence. Other details derived from a thorough questioning of the witnesses revealed several important facts. The object, though it did not show a light of any kind, caused the trees to
move below it, as it hovered. The craft was distinguishable from the moon, as both objects could be clearly detailed simultaneously. The object was a traditional oval shape with a dome on top, estimated at 25-30 feet across,
and 10-15 feet tall.
Though the object rapidly streaked through the sky, neither the witnesses, nor other guests at cabins in the vicinity heard any sound. One guest did observe that at about
the time of the incident, he was listening to his radio, when it suddenly went dead. Later in the evening, it was working fine again. The investigative team discovered a number of broken, wilted limbs directly below where the
object had hovered. An analysis was made in Winnipeg, and the results of that examination was that no reasonable explanation could be offered for the damage to the tree limbs. The report also stated that the limbs showed signs
of heat, and the samples contained no diseases or insect infestation. This is a classic case of an encounter of the second kind. This case was very well documented, and the object was listed as unexplained.
Source Note: This report somehow came to the attention of Dr. J. Allen Hynek. Hynek
included it in his book, "The UFO Experience," published & (c) in 1972. This case is included on page 131, and there are excerpts from the official government report included in Hynek's account.

Ottawa Valley Late Summer 1967
I was about fifteen years old. August or September of 1967 behind the Monastary in Aylmer, Quebec with two friends, Chris and Bruce. We sighted a UFO
directly above us. We sighted this simultaneously and shouted this out in perfect unison: ''Look, there's a flying saucer.'' This light was of an intensity much brighter than any 'one' of the surrounding stars. This night was a perfectly clear night, one could see every star. We were observing this wonderful sight when we caught sight of this bright light. This light zig zagged in a small area above us until it was directly and exactly above us, after which in a very short time, it's light diminished in intensity until we could not tell it apart from the other stars. Then again simultaneously we all directed our attention to.... straight ahead. Now we were sitting on a hill, not quite at the top, but high enough to be level with the top of a tree. This tree was on the edge of a corn field just across the gravel road that was at the bottom of this hill. Level with the top of this tree was a UFO enveloped in a mist. This horrified my older friends and they were down the hill within seconds. They moved so fast, I didn't even react until they were going over the fence, through the cornfields and towards home. I ran too, never did catch up with them that night. We always reminded one another of this afterwards. A few years after I left Aylmer Quebec, I heard Bruce had passed away. I have not seen Chris since about 1975.
Our thanks to Derek J. Chin and his son Matthew for sharing this experience with us.

Brian Dorscht saw a dark object, measuring 1 m in diameter
and 1.5 m in height, with flashing green and white lights. When 1 m above ground, six legs came out, and it landed on a lawn near the National Grocers Company. The whirring sound the object was making stopped, and the witness became afraid and ran away. Police found six prints at the site.
Falconbridge ON July 1961
I was 8 years old at the time and used to go out at around 6:00 am to play by myself, then return to my house in time for breakfast. This was sometime in July or August 1961. It was during the summer vacation. It was
about 6:30 when I chanced to look up. I saw a large bright silver, cylinder or oval shaped craft I immediately took for a jet or passenger plane. I thought it might be from the Skead (Falconbridge Airforce base). I was used to
seeing planes from there, but only during the Air Show. The base is just south of Falconbridge, the nickel mining town I lived in. The craft made no noise but it was on west to east and certainly a crash trajectory. I dropped
everything and went to see where it crashed. It was headed into a horseshoe shaped hole in the ground about three hundred meters long and 200 meters wide. The east side of the pothole (this is what we called it) rose to about
25-30 meters high and the walls declined to about ground level with the rest of the town, the west end being level. There was nothing there so I went to the east side up on top of the hill and looked to the east into the mines
and saw nothing also. I then went home totally perplexed and very hungry. When I arrived home, my mother asked me where I had been all day and I tried to tell her that I wanted to have breakfast but she said that I had missed
breakfast and lunch but made me a sandwich. I suffered no trauma what so ever but I am completely baffled about the situation. For one, I had heard nothing or knew anything about UFO’s. I also have a bullet shaped mark on my
left shin. When I was about 14 or 15 years old, I showed it to my doctor and he said that it had to be made by a deep puncture. I remember nothing about any puncture, nor do my siblings and parents know about something like
that. The doctor said it was large enough to have had to have stitches. I remember no such event. There are many other mysteries to this event that have occurred at later dates. But just the sighting and the lost time are
enough. Please e-mail me or call as this has been inside of me for a long time and I have told no one other than my brother about this. Should I pursue this? What do I do next? Who do I talk to? As I said before, this hasn’t
traumatized me but I am very curious and confused about this. Please let me know.

It's been many years since we saw this and it still bothers me.We were returning from an all night drivein movie .My sister and her husband my boyfriend and myself. We were all in one car ,they lived out on a farm in
the country about 1mile outside of the city. There's a long laneway to the farmhouse about 1/4 mile. As you turn down the lane ,theres a small knoll to the right .As we turned in the lane we stopped very fast.----We sat there
looking at what looked like the biggest harvest moon we'd ever seen but it wasn't the moon because it was still in the sky where it's supposed to be.It was only 200-300 feet away ! And it was as bright as the moon only on the
ground. If you can picture the harvest moon just as it's rising ,and set it on the ground thats what we saw....we were terrified but for some weird reason decided to pass beside it to get to the farm and drop off my sister and
her family 2 children we let them off and drove back down the lane to the highway. It was still sitting on the knoll, but as we pull onto the road it started to follow us back into town. My boyfriend was driving so fast and it
stayed right above the car It was really big as he drove I watched it out the passingers side window. both of us crying and almost hysterical. We were going so fast we became partially airborne as we went over a railroad track.
Anyway he dropped me off and drove home.Still crying and saying Oh my god !! I need to get home.I want my mom'I went in the house but everyone was sleeping , I hid in my room, I can still remember how frightened i was ,hart
pounding shaking and scared to death...afraid it was going to find me ..I was 21..I'm 59 now and it's something I'll never forget!! I talked to my brother-inlaw to-night and he remembers it too,, We all know what we saw and
no-body will ever convince us that what we saw was 't.. but in the 60's we didn't dare tell many people .they'd all say you were nuts.. I finally have the nerve to send this report cause from what I've been reading------- WE
ARN'T ALL CRAZY . THE ONLY ONES THAT THINK WE ARE HAS NEVER SEEN SOMETHING THAT CAN'T BE EXPLAINED!!!! AS I SAID NO ONE GOVERNMENT OR OTHERWISE IS GOING TO CHANGE MY MIND.... Sorry for the long report but I finally told someone
and it's been a very long time. In closing I would like to thank you for your time.

In the evening of August 25?/65, I was eleven, my brother, thirteen, and our next door neighbour also thirteen, were assigned to take our dogs out for a walk. I know it was a Sunday evening as the rest of our family
were inside watching Ed Sullivan at the time and mom wanted us to get in the habit of coming in early as school was starting soon. In the duration of playing I noticed a funny orange star right beside the full moon. When I
looked up again there appeared to be two moons except one was very blood orange in colour. When I caught my brother's attention to look at the other moon this object (within fractions of a second) was hovering over us the size
two foot ball feilds. The ground and everything was illuminating an orange colour. My brother said quick go get mom, and within a fraction of a second it vanished.
