Update January 2009
After typing some related words about an experience I had as a child, I found your website. I was astonished to read about an experience similar to mine!
I was about 6 to 12 years old (I have some gaps in my memory) when I saw some kind of a cartoon next to my bed, as if it was being shown right besides me on the wall. In that cartoon were bug-like creatures moving on the wall in beautiful colours. I was awake, I'm sure of that, and this cartoon frightened the hell out of me. I rolled myself into the sheets and start moving about on the bed and hoped that they would leave me alone.
Next thing I remember I woke up suddenly after bumping my nose very hard onto a traffic light near to a crossing. It hurt so much that I ran home crying very hard. I supposed to have gone to the bakery in our street to get some bread before going to school. Later I wondered how on earth I suddenly found myself on the street, right before a busy crossing!
I never could explain this, but I hope I can help you with this experience.
