Oshawa/Whitby ON

This just happened five minutes ago. I just went outside to have a cigarette and as I glanced up into the clear blue sky to the southwest for one split second I saw a silver cigar shaped object, clearly far away in the distant pretty high up, just all of a sudden vanish into thin air.

It could have been visible for longer I have no idea, but as soon as I glanced up and saw it, it seemed to have vanished into nothing or disappear into the upper atmosphere. This is odd as right when I went to go outside I was reading the recent report on here about someone seeing a 6 story tall object here in Oshawa back in 1991.

The front of my house faces exactly south towards the lake so it was definitely in the southwestern sky. My heart is jumping as I type this. I live very close to the Oshawa/Whitby border so it may have been south Whitby. I am at a loss for words and my friend whom just arrived and heard my story thinks I am crazy but I know what I saw.

I hope someone else saw it as right now there is not a cloud in the sky and it is a great day out.
