I want to share my own strange experience over lake Ontario with you. It was April 15, 1997 around 11:30 pm. I remember this clearly because it was mine and my boyfriend's first date. We were at Bluffers Park when we saw what looked like an orange ball about halfway out on the lake towards Syracuse and across from the nuke plant descend from the sky and into the lake. It was so weird! Our first thought was that it was the sun setting. But it was in the east and 11:30 at night!!!
