Blind River ON March Break 1979
"March break 1979 was spent in Blind River Ontario. One night, I was preparing to go to a hotel in the town that had an indoor swimming pool. My first cousin Karen A and first cousin once removed Rachelle L. were going to swim there. As Rachelle and I waited outside Karen's house, we saw a weird sight a bit past the highway.About half a kilometre from 11 Hamilton Street, we saw a bright diamond-shaped aircraft. It was slowly moving from a northerly direction to a southerly direction. The aircraft seemed to be the size of an ultralight airplane and pulled a thick 'cable' about 20 meters long.At the end of this cable was an orange-coloured globe about the same size of the aircraft. The globe glowed with the brightness of the inside of a nuclear reactor. Occasionally, a small burst of engine rocket emitted from the aircraft's rear and it would perceptively shoot forward faster about ten meters. We heard an airy pzzzzt sound as it did this. The aircraft seemed to have windows (we could only see the side of it facing east)like a small plane near the 'cockpit' area. My cousin came out of her house and said the object was weird. We observed it for about another two minutes and then it disappeared still on a southerly course. This was observed from the Blind River Mountain's northwestern side. We observed the object for 8 to 9 minutes. It was over Lake Huron near the shore beside Highway 17 (or 11). The night was clear with no wind and we could clearly see the stars over Lake Huron. This was about 7:15 in the evening."
