Geraldton Ontario July 1953

The following report was written by my father who has told our family this story over these last many years and his story has always remained constant. I recently asked him to write down his account as there were about 150-200 people who witnessed this along with him. Hopefully some of those witnesses will also come forward.

"In the summer of 1953 while attending a local baseball game in Geraldton, Ontario I observed five round (disks?) objects traveling east to west at a considerable hight. Except for some motionless circus clouds it was clear blue sky. 0 degrees at north horizon to 90 degrees directly overhead they were approximately 80 degrees above us in a precise V formation. They appeared aluminum in color, each (disk) the same size and evenly spaced. 0 degrees east horizon to 180 degrees at west horizon at approximately 110 degrees of travel path these 5 objects  made an abrupt change in their direction to south west. There was no curve in the flight path. There were no con trails, formation remained constant and the speed never varied for the duration of observation until they slowly faded out of sight. Having done some flying myself while employed by Hamilton Aircraft Services, (Mount Hope Ontario) would estimate their hight at possibly 35 to 40 thousand feet. At the time of this sighting I was employed by Ontario Hydro maintenance at Jonesville substation."

Our thanks to the witness, and his family for sharing this experience with us.
