On Sunday January 17th I was at work in Hamilton on the Mountain (exact location removed from online report for privacy) At approximately 1am I went outside for a break, and was facing the direction of Garth street, and it was lightly snowing with cloud cover. I wasn't thinking of anything that I can remember, but was looking at the tree line to the left of my field of vision. When, for some reason, I felt like I should turn my head and look to the right in the sky. When I did this, I saw a horizontal wave of bright white light. I use the word wave, because it looked like a wave - it had texture to it, if that makes sense.
I wondered afterwards it it could have been a result of a blowing of snow illuminated from an outdoor light, from my perspective, as there are lights on the building where I work. But when I stood in the same position to attempt to recreate it, and tossed some snow in the air with a breeze, it didn't look like that.
Webmaster's note: The witness had feelings prior to this event that are suggestive of possible precognition and a few days later wrote in to share that in their home they had another strange experience described as follows: "I became awake and stayed awake due to a cyclical noise coming from my room." Rhythmic. But like I had cotton in my head at the same time. Like a long time ago. I made sure I was awake because I made sure to make note of how the pillow felt on my eyes ( I sleep with one over my eyes) and how my socks felt on my feet- as I fell asleep with them on and I normally don't. Then when I sat up, a thin brilliant neon purple rectangle of light moved from right to left 4 feet in my room before it disappeared from where I heard the clicking ticking noise.
