Membership

 Becoming a member Membership to the Torontoghosts and Ontarioghosts societies comes in varying degrees.

The initial type of member, Public Members, receives our newsletter every month or two and is invited to our members events and is privy to news about the site and the organization before the general public. ANYONE, regardless of age, beliefs or experience can be a General Member.
Nota Bella: Public Members and Active Members cannot speak or act on behalf of the organization (GHRS, Torontoghosts, Ontarioghosts) in any way shape or form without prior approval of the core membership.

The next level is the "Active Member". These folks are initially general members who have read the information found on this page (click here) and still receive the newsletter and attend some of our open events. These members are invited to join us on investigations (when we have openings,) and occasionally consulted for thoughts and ideas for the site and investigations. You must be a "General Member" before attaining this level of membership. PLEASE READ THE NOTE ON THE TOP OF THIS PAGE BEFORE CONTINUING.

The final level is "Core Membership". These folks are "Active Members" who have gone 'above and beyond' in helping the site and the society. "Core Members" are invited to all investigations and play a very active roll in the website and the society in general. This level of membership is made up of "Active Members" who have met and worked with the other "Core Members" who ask them to 'step up' to the next level.


As stated, ALL members receive the newsletter as it contains important invitation to "open events" that we do hope all who wish to work with us will attend so we can meet you and get to know you. If you do not wish to get the newsletter, please do not become a member.

SECURE SERVER WARNING: As of November 30th, 2000, we unfortunately track all IPs that send in mail from our forms. This is because of some users abusing the servers to send questionable material. We only track completely in these cases and if the membership request is valid, we destroy the log. Forgive this security issue as we are collecting information to send to certain ISPs so they can take action against the people abusing our server. Thank you for your understanding. We will not sell, spam or abuse this information EVER and the information gathered from "true" users will be discarded at the end of every day.

If a request to reproduce any item comes in, the same applies, we will request your authorization but if it is not forthcoming within 15 days of the request, the authorization will be approved without the exact address or names given to the requester.

We are not responsible for the content of submissions and cannot be held responsible for any damages that may occur through the use of the information on these pages. We will do our best to ensure accuracy and security.
