On Friday, November 1, 1996, at 4:45 PM, eyewitnesses in Metcalfe, Ontario saw " a strange object moving from west to east below the clouds. They described the UFO as "glinting" and said it passed over " far too quickly to be blowing in the wind or a bird flying." Metcalfe is located just east of the intersection of Ontario Highway 6 and 31, about fifteen miles (24 kilometers) south of Ottawa.
