Had tadpole like appearance with bright exhaust

UFO details report: I was driving south on Erinmills pkwy/Southdown rd. December 17th at around 8am and first saw two normal looking jets in the the sky. I then noticed a much bigger object in the sky that was moving fairly normally but had a massive white tail on it (exhaust?) The tail did not leave a line in the sky like with our jets but was very large. I was begging for a red light so that I could snap a pic but opportunity never arrived. Anybody else notice this? It disappeared behind the clouds with in two minutes. Would have been above lake Ontario.
